Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding

A Mission of craftsmanship: “The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding’s mission is to teach and preserve the skills and crafts associated with fine wooden boatbuilding and other traditional maritime arts with emphasis on the development of the individual as a craftsperson.” Check this school out when you attend the Annual Wooden Boat Festival this September, or send an email to info@nwboatschool.org to obtain this year’s Summer Program featuring a variety of classes between June and September.

Wooden Boat Festival

Over 150 wooden boats of all shapes and sizes provide the atmosphere that gives this Festival its rich feeling. An attendance of over 18,000 boat lovers ensures a fun weekend of boats, maritime exhibits, demonstrations, food and music.

Centrum Foundation

Centrum hosts a series of summer workshops and festivals including the Port Townsend Country Blues Festival, Festival of American Fiddle Tunes, Port Townsend Writer’s Conference, Bud Shank Jazz Workshop, Jazz Port Townsend, and Marrowstone Music Festival.
